What You Will Do

Provide resources and tools to support those directly helping customers.

Assist with down stocking, area recovery, and input into merchandising decisions.

Monitor use of store power equipment and coach employees on safe behaviors and lifting techniques.

Coaching and training associates, delegating and following up on daily tasks.

Manage performance and ensure adequate department coverage.

Lead customer-facing activities such as greeting customers, clarifying needs, identifying solutions, and closing sales.

Handle non-customer-facing tasks like inventory management and store safety (e.g., conducting safety walks, reporting hazards).

Supervise associates in other departments as needed to meet store demands.

Occasionally open or close the store or serve as manager‑on‑duty.

What We're Looking For

Hourly Full Time; 39‑40 hours per week, with additional hours as needed.

Availability morning, afternoon, and evening any day of the week.

Physical ability to stand, sit, and perform required tasks; must lift 25 pounds without assistance.

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 3 years of retail experience.

1 year of customer service experience.

1 year of experience supporting Pro customers (for Pro Department Supervisor).

Experience providing direction or supervision to teams.

Experience in training, mentoring, and developing associates.

Cross‑functional teamwork experience.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

Ability to obtain sales related licensure if required by law.

Preferred Qualifications

3 years of retail customer service experience.

3 years of experience with Pro customers.

Leadership role with direct report responsibility.

Experience in the home improvement retail sector.

Experience in a fast‑paced retail environment.

Experience in a key carrying role with manager‑on‑duty responsibilities.

Experience using store computer systems (Project Tool, Genesis, Sterling, M2O, Thin Client, etc.).
