Lead Front-End Developer
We are seeking a Lead Front-End Developer to play a key role on a small, high-impact team working on a new digital platform at the intersection of finance and technology. This is an opportunity to take technical ownership of front-end development across web and mobile applications, shaping user experiences that are intuitive, performant, and scalable. In this role, you will lead front-end architecture and execution, collaborate closely with cross-functional partners, and mentor other engineers while building high-quality, production-ready interfaces. As a Lead Front-End Developer, you will: Design, build, and optimize responsive, user-focused interfaces for web and mobile applications using modern front-end technologies
Lead and mentor a small team of front-end engineers, fostering collaboration, technical excellence, and continuous improvement
Partner with product managers, designers, and back-end engineers to translate business and product requirements into technical solutions
Ensure front-end applications meet high standards for performance, scalability, security, and accessibility
Drive best practices around code quality, testing, reviews, and front-end architecture
Stay current on emerging front-end technologies and industry trends, recommending and implementing improvements where appropriate
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
7+ years of front-end development experience across web and mobile applications, including at least 2 years in a senior or lead role
Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth software environments
Strong proficiency with modern JavaScript frameworks, including React and React Native
Solid understanding of responsive design, accessibility standards, and cross-browser compatibility
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development methodologies
Nice to Have
Prior experience building products in fintech or financial services environments
Familiarity with cryptocurrency, blockchain, or digital asset integrations
Experience leading front-end development on greenfield or early-stage products
