Material Planning Analyst – Second Shift

Overview We are seeking a Material Planning Analyst to support a rapidly expanding production and warehouse operation as it adds a second shift. This role is critical to ensuring seamless coordination across manufacturing, materials, and supply chain functions by managing schedules, releasing production and purchase orders, and maintaining accurate material planning across multiple facilities.
This is a highly operational, data‑driven role within a growing and collaborative production support team. The Material Planning Analyst will play a key role in enabling on‑time production by driving material availability, resolving shortages, and continuously improving planning and MRP processes.
The role operates on
second shift (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM)
and may require overtime to support production needs.

Work Schedule
Shift: Second shift (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM)
Core Responsibilities Material & Production Planning
Own schedule management for assigned material categories
Release and manage production orders and purchase requisitions
Manage material movements and material requests from production plants
Perform clear‑to‑build assessments for production work orders
Monitor adherence to production schedules
MRP & Inventory Optimization
Manage MRP exceptions, shortages, and floor scrap replacement
Continuously improve reorder points and order modifiers to optimize material availability
Resolve data quality issues affecting planning and execution
Drive stock availability while reducing cost and risk
Process Improvement & Reporting
Provide data‑driven reviews to management focused on supply chain and material performance
Create and maintain SOPs for transaction processing
Support short-, medium-, and long‑range planning activities
Influence supplier and internal teams toward continuous improvement
Top Hard Requirements
Manufacturing or Aerospace Environment Experience
Proven experience working in a manufacturing, production, or aerospace environment supporting material flow and production execution.
Supply Chain Expertise
Strong background in supply chain operations including material planning, scheduling, inventory, and production support.
MRP Systems Experience
Hands‑on experience using MRP systems to manage material planning, shortages, and production readiness.
Nice to Have
Experience using SAP (including SAP S/4HANA or similar MRP platforms)
Compliance & Clearance Requirements
Must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, permanent resident (Green Card holder), refugee, or asylee due to export control regulations
Must successfully complete a U.S. government background check and fingerprinting to receive site access
