Position Summary The Plant Lean Manager will lead continuous improvement initiatives across the manufacturing plant to drive operational excellence, reduce waste, and improve efficiency. This role is responsible for implementing Lean principles and methodologies, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and ensuring alignment with corporate objectives for productivity and quality.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute Lean strategies to optimize plant operations and reduce costs.
Lead Kaizen events, value stream mapping, and other Lean activities to identify and eliminate waste.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and standard work practices.
Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to productivity, quality, and efficiency.
Train and mentor plant personnel on Lean principles and tools to build internal capability.
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards throughout all improvement initiatives.
Drive cultural change toward continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, Operations, or related field (required).
Experience:
Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing operations, with at least 3 years in a Lean/continuous improvement role.
Proven track record of implementing Lean methodologies in an industrial or machinery manufacturing environment.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of Lean tools (Kaizen, 5S, Value Stream Mapping, SMED, etc.).
Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
Ability to influence and drive change across all levels of the organization.
Preferred Qualifications
Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher).
Experience with ERP systems and data-driven decision-making.
Familiarity with industrial machinery products and related manufacturing processes.
