Summary of the Position:
This is an hourly, part-time position involving serving youth and families across multiple counties in Maine.
Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will be dependable, committed, and able to serve as a positive role model for youth in community, school, and home settings.
The Primary responsibilitiesof the Advocate are to initiate, organize, plan, develop and implement direct advocacy services to assigned participants and their families.
All service plans will be based on a strength-based approach using the wrap around model.
This position offers flexible hours, competitive weekly pay, mileage ($0.50/mile), and activity reimbursement.
Qualifications/Requirements
Minimum High School Diploma or GED is required.
Prior experience in community work and knowledge of community resources.
Experience working with at-risk youth
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Basic Computer Skills
CPR/First Aid Certification is a plus
Bi-Lingual/Spanish Speaking is a plus
Reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and current automobile insurance coverage is required.
