Role Overview The Sports Performance Coach is responsible for leading strength, speed, and mobility training sessions while fostering a positive and engaging environment for athletes. This role involves conducting athlete testing, assisting in program development, and ensuring accurate data capture. Coaches are expected to maintain facility cleanliness, attend staff meetings, and communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and staff. A strong foundation in strength and conditioning principles, speed training, and the use of performance technology is essential. This position operates in a dynamic training environment and requires a hands‑on coaching approach to optimize athlete development.
Responsibilities
Lead strength, speed, and mobility sessions
Conduct athlete testing and data capture
Maintain facility cleanliness and equipment
Build positive relationships with athletes, parents, and staff
Assist in programming of strength and speed sessions
Attend and present at staff meetings
Requirements
Bachelor's degree – preferably in kinesiology, exercise science, or comparable
Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist certification from NSCA (or willingness to attain within 6 months)
Baseball and/or Softball background required
Prior experience coaching athletes
Former Collegiate or Professional Athlete (strongly encouraged)
A passion for impacting lives and training/fitness
Schedule Monday – Thursday: 12pm–9pm Friday: 10am–7pm
Compensation $30–$35 per hour, plus comprehensive benefits including health insurance and paid time off
