Position Description
Las Américas ASPIRA Academy is seeking a highly qualified, enthusiastic individual to serve as our Assistant Cheer Coach.
Responsibilities
Work with Principal, Athletic Director, players and parents to conduct the season.
Serve as an advocate and role model for the academic, ethical, and moral development of students.
Manage resources and equipment.
Demonstrate cooperation with other sports team coaches and support all sports programs.
Plan and manage training sessions.
Build a positive, supportive and inclusive team environment that provides for athletic enjoyment, success and challenge.
Ensure the health and safety of the athletes coached.
Follow all policies & expectations of the ASPIRA Athletics program.
Qualifications
Prior high school cheer coaching experience preferred.
Understand the characteristics and needs of the athletes coached.
Understand the components of a training session.
Appropriate communication, management and coaching skills for the athletes coached.
