Job Responsibilities
Organize and supervise the high school softball program.
Provide coaching and instruction to student athletes, focusing on skill development, strategy, and physical conditioning.
Serve as a positive role model, ensuring student discipline, academic accountability, and character development.
Coordinate with the athletic director, school principals, and assistant coaches to implement program policies.
Ensure compliance with school, state, and league regulations and interpret them for staff.
Maintain equipment, manage a seasonal budget, and oversee inventory and documentation.
Promote sportsmanship, team cohesion, and a constructive learning environment.
Assist athletes with college or advanced educational selection and related opportunities.
Handle public relations duties, including media releases, event coordination, and community outreach.
Qualifications
Previous successful coaching experience in softball or other major sports.
Substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of the sport and current coaching best practices.
Strong organizational, supervisory, and communication skills.
Ability to serve as an appropriate role model for student athletes.
Knowledge of athletic policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
Reports To The Athletic Director, in conjunction with high school principals.
