Provide critical care in a step-down unit setting with a focus on patient recovery and monitoring. This opportunity involves working a night shift in a progressive care unit, supporting patients who require specialized nursing attention after intensive care. Location:This role is based in Eagle River, Alaska, a scenic community known for its stunning natural surroundings and outdoor recreational activities. The area offers a unique blend of small-town atmosphere with access to the amenities of a larger city nearby. Responsibilities: Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in a step-down unit Monitor patient status and communicate changes promptly to the healthcare team Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans Ensure adherence to infection control and safety guidelines Document patient information accurately and timely in medical records Qualifications: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required at the time of application Experience in step-down or progressive care nursing preferred Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Strong critical thinking and patient assessment skills Flexibility to work the 7:00 pm to 7:00 am shift Schedule/Hours: Night shift: 7:00 pm to 7:00 am Guaranteed 36 hours per week Additional Details: Contract assignment lasting 13 weeks Immediate start available This position offers the chance to enhance your skills in a dynamic healthcare environment while experiencing life in Eagle River.
