As a Senior Actuarial Associate, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining actuarial experience studies that inform pricing, cash flow testing, capital modeling, and broader business decisions. You will analyze policyholder behavior, expenses, and capital assumptions, collaborate closely with Product, Risk, IT, and senior leadership, and help ensure actuarial insights are clearly communicated and effectively applied. This role is well suited for an experienced actuarial professional who enjoys combining technical analysis, data visualization, and cross‑functional collaboration. What You’ll Do
Develop and maintain actuarial experience studies, including policyholder behavior, expense, and capital assumptions Recommend assumptions annually for pricing, cash flow testing, and corporate modeling Perform ongoing actual‑to‑expected analysis and monitor emerging trends, reporting insights to governance committees Use Power BI and other analytical tools to design and maintain experience study dashboards and reporting Serve as a key data liaison with IT, supporting actuarial data needs, the liability data warehouse, and in‑force policy extracts Complete and support industry experience surveys (e.g., Ruark study) Oversee reinsurance administration activities, including review and approval of treaty settlements Partner with Product Management, Risk, and other stakeholders to support strategic initiatives Contribute to a collaborative, inclusive, and continuous‑improvement culture What You’ll Bring
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Analytics, or a related quantitative field Experience
3+ years of actuarial experience Experience with annuity and life insurance products Prior experience coaching or mentoring others preferred Minimum of 5 actuarial exams completed required Continued progress toward actuarial credentials encouraged and supported Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail Experience conducting actuarial experience studies and assumption analysis Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to work across multiple systems Experience with Power BI or other data visualization/analytics tools preferred Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presenting results to non‑technical audiences Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to change Collaborative mindset with a commitment to professionalism, integrity, and inclusion Physical Requirements
Primarily sedentary work involving extended computer use Ability to communicate effectively in meetings and presentations Occasional lifting of light materials (up to 20 lbs.) Where You’ll Work
