About the Position Location: New Century, KS. 4 days/week on site at DC and/or factory during core business hours. Occasional travel to other North American 3PL sites as needed.

Role Overview The North America 3PL Lead is a critical new role within the NA Flora Food Group Logistics organization, responsible for ensuring operational excellence, inventory accuracy, service performance, and continuous improvement across our North American 3PL distribution network. This role will serve as the primary point of accountability for day‑to‑day 3PL performance, ensuring our partners follow agreed processes, meet contractual KPIs, and uphold Flora’s global standards for compliance, quality, and customer service. The role will also drive our continuous improvement agenda with our DCs focused on driving value creation and seamless integration with our 3PLs. In addition, the role will drive inventory accuracy (cycle counts, stock reconciliation, annual audits), SOP development, and continuous improvement to ensure Flora consistently delivers 99%+ service and maintains strong operational discipline.

Key Responsibilities

Act as primary operational liaison between Flora and 3PL for all warehouse execution activities.

Ensure 3PL partners adhere to Flora SOPs, safety standards, and operational processes at all times.

Monitor and manage daily DC performance including receiving, put‑away, picking, loading, appointments, and outbound execution.

Conduct weekly and monthly KPI reviews, ensuring clear corrective action plans for underperformance.

Ensure alignment with FEFO/FIFO policies, customer freshness requirements, and DC‑to‑DC transfer rules.

Validate proper use of WMS/SAP processes (ASN, GR, shipment confirmation, repack, etc.).

Identify operational risks early and escalate with mitigation plans.

Track, process all 3PL invoices and ensure the accuracy of these charges.

Inventory Accuracy & Governance

Own inventory accuracy across the entire North America 3PL network (US + CA).

Manage daily/weekly cycle count program, stock reconciliation, and discrepancy investigations.

Lead annual physical inventory processes and support external audits (e.g., Deloitte).

Ensure timely and accurate WMS‑to‑SAP alignment; partner with IT/EDI as needed.

Drive root cause analysis for inventory variances and implement sustainable corrective actions.

Ensure compliance with Flora’s global inventory control framework.

Process Governance & Continuous Improvement

Develop, publish, and maintain robust SOPs for all warehouse processes.

Reinforce process discipline with 3PL partners through regular audits and training.

Lead continuous improvement initiatives to improve service, reduce waste, and minimize operating inefficiencies.

Drive value creation agenda within the DC network to identify savings opportunities.

Drive productivity and efficiency projects within the warehouses.

Standardize best practices across the network in collaboration with Global Outsourced Warehousing teams.

Service Excellence & Customer Support

Support achievement of Flora’s 99%+ service level target by ensuring flawless outbound execution.

Review order allocation, picking quality, fill rates, and OTIF performance.

Partner with Customer Service, Planning, and Quality to troubleshoot order or shipment issues.

Ensure strict adherence to QA and product handling requirements, including OOS management and blocked stock processes.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

Work closely with Supply Planning, Customer Service, Quality, IT, WMS/EDI teams, Finance, and the Factory CI team.

Participate in daily/weekly ITP / IBP forums as the logistics representative for DC readiness.

Support new product introductions, seasonal ramp‑ups, and major promotional events.

Performance Management & Reporting

Track, analyze, and publish KPI dashboards for internal and external stakeholders.

Ensure monthly business reviews with 3PL partners that include trends, issues, risks, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Support leadership in vendor performance scoring and contract compliance assessments.

Additional Responsibilities

Support logistics readiness and execution for major projects (e.g., new innovations, facility expansions, system go‑lives).

Champion safety culture and ensure 3PLs meet Flora safety requirements.

Perform ad‑hoc operational deep‑dives when needed to protect customer service or mitigate inventory risks.

Represent the Logistics team during audits, system changes, and cross‑functional initiatives.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in Logistics, Supply Chain, Warehouse Operations, and 3PL management.

Strong understanding of WMS and ERP environments (SAP preferred).

Experience managing supplier relationships and enforcing operational KPIs.

Deep knowledge of inventory control, cycle counting, stock reconciliation, and audit management.

Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and root‑cause‑analysis skills.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Ability to work independently and autonomously.

Comfort working in a fast‑paced environment with tight timelines and shifting priorities.
