JR4992Our Austin, TX office has an immediate opportunity for a **Civil/Roadway Engineering Specialist** to join our Roadway Design Team. This position is well-suited for an early-career engineer seeking hands-on experience supporting transportation and infrastructure projects throughout Central Texas and beyond.Key Responsibilities* Assist in the design and review of roadway, highway, and site development projects* Support roadway geometrics, modeling, and cross-section development* Contribute to grading, drainage, and stormwater management design* Assist with erosion and sediment control plans* Support traffic control plans, traffic studies, and signalization layouts* Prepare signing, pavement marking, and utility coordination plans* Assist with preparation of plans, specifications, estimates (PS&E), and schematic design documentsRequired Qualifications* Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field* 0–4 years of relevant roadway or civil engineering experience preferred* Successful completion of the FE exam / Engineering-in-Training (EIT) certification* Experience or exposure to MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, InRoads/GEOPAK, Microsoft Office; AutoCAD a plus* Active participation in professional societies encouraged* Ability to perform essential job functions in a consistent state of alertness and safetyCompensation Range:$64,848.58 - $86,464.77STV offers the following benefits • Health insurance, including an option with a Health Savings Account • Dental insurance • Vision insurance • Flexible Spending Accounts (Healthcare, Dependent Care and Transit and Parking where applicable) • Disability insurance • Life Insurance and Accidental Death & Dismemberment • 401(k) Plan • Retirement Counseling • Employee Assistance Program • Paid Time Off (16 days) • Paid Holidays (9 days) • Back-Up Dependent Care (up to 10 days per year) • Parental Leave (up to 80 hours) • Continuing Education Program • Professional Licensure and Society MembershipsSTV is committed to paying all of its employees in a fair, equitable, and transparent manner.
