Dobbs Equipment is seeking a Warehouse Specialist. The position is responsible for receiving, checking, storing, pulling, and shipping equipment parts while preparing and processing various documents and computer entries related to shipping, receiving and inventory controls. Management reserves the right to assign additional duties or projects as necessary.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Follow all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments while maintaining a safe work environment and safe work habits.
Utilize the business system to process receipt transactions on all received parts.
Ensure all parts and applicable freight charges are billed correctly.
Notify customers when parts are received and ready for pickup via telephone.
Deliver parts and documentation to service department personnel or place them in the “will call” holding area.
Match and file packing slip and purchase order documentation.
Ensure all miscellaneous vendor receipts are matched to a “Purchase Order” and filed in the correct vendor file.
Pull parts from assigned warehouse locations and place them in the “will call” area or prepare for shipping.
Ship parts to various internal and external customers using automated software and shipping forms.
Locate parts for inventory stocking in correct warehouse locations or assign new locations when required.
Restock display shelves with various products.
Assist customers by retrieving parts from will call and moving them to the customer’s vehicle.
Offload delivery trucks utilizing diesel or propane operated forklifts.
Monitor various reports to ensure inventory accuracy.
Utilize the business system to process inquiries to access product part number information and assign or change warehouse locations.
Assist in maintaining a neat and clean work environment, warehouse, and product display area.
Fabricate hoses using hose cutting tools and a high‑pressure drill press machine. Utilize a battery workstation to dispense acid into batteries when required.

Qualifications
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to operate a forklift.
Proficient with basic computer skills.
Education, Skill, and Experience Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required and at least 1 year within a similar position in a related industry.
Ability to communicate effectively with teammates.
Strong problem‑solving skills.
Must be proficient with basic computer skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent time‑management skills.
Must be able to self‑manage/self‑motivate.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Quick learner with the ability to think out of the box.
Overnight travel less than 5% (training).
Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a warehouse setting and is exposed to frequently changing temperatures, wet or humid conditions, noise, vibration, fumes, odors, dust, and close proximity to moving mechanical parts.
Physical Demands
Wearing personal protective equipment, including respirators, welding shields, hard hats, vests, safety glasses, goggles, gloves, etc.
Ability to use full range of motion for back, arms, hands, and fingers.
Ability to use full range of motion for both legs, including climbing, twisting, squatting, and pushing.
Ability to use hand tools, fuel hoses, lubrication systems on all equipment.
Ability to climb onto or down from mobile construction equipment, typically 3‑4 feet of climbing, for service and inspection.
Frequent lifting or carrying loads greater than 50 lbs but less than 75 lbs.
Specific vision abilities required: close, distance, and color vision.
Regularly required to talk or hear at moderate noise levels.
