Job Overview The Equipment Control Coordinator (Equip Control Coordinator) sets up the removal or repair of faulty equipment at customer sites that are damaged or unusable. The role assists in setting trailer parts, managing trailer levels at customers, calculating and compiling trailer detention to be billed to the customer by submitting information to the finance team. It also works hand in hand with the Field Operations and Customer Service functions when equipment is in question for any reason with our customers, and compiles trailer dwell information from our customers into spreadsheets and distributes that within the Operations, Equipment Control, Sales, and Customer Service teams.

Maintains par levels of trailers at all customers using Fleet Locate, a GPS tracking device and software utilized to track RCT trailers, and other trailer tracking systems.

Assigns trailers in the Fleet Locate system and sets up trailer pars and pools for customers to determine the number of trailers needed to operate the business between the customer and transportation provider.

Tracks, communicates, and submits trailer dwell and detention charges to Finance for billing purposes.

Tracks trailers that exceed the contracted dwell time rate and compiles charges until the trailer is offloaded, then submits invoicing to the customer.

Maintains operable trailers at customer sites and coordinates the repair or removal of those that are damaged or not fully operable.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

2 years of education beyond high school in college or technical school.

Associate’s degree or up to 3 years of college or technical school.

Knowledge acquired through up to 12 months of work experience.
