Goal of the Role As a Manager Application Engineer, you play a critical role in defining robust and cost-effective manufacturing concepts for elastomer products. By combining deep technical expertise with strong cross-functional leadership, you enable accurate quotations, ensure feasibility from concept to production, and support optimized manufacturing processes that meet customer and business requirements. Your Responsibilities

Lead the European team within the Global Concept & Costing organization Define manufacturing concepts and feasibility analyses from quotation through production Translate customer requirements into efficient, cost-effective elastomer manufacturing solutions Coordinate with Engineering, Materials, Design/Simulation, Costing, and Commercial teams Ensure cost efficiency of vulcanization and upstream/downstream processes Update and manage costing based on evolving specifications and requirements Collaborate with external suppliers to define production equipment and process specifications Work closely with prototyping, manufacturing, procurement, and quality teams to ensure feasibility and quality compliance What We’re Looking For

Engineering degree (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Materials) or equivalent At least 5 years of experience in technical manufacturing roles, preferably in elastomer or plastics environments Strong knowledge of elastomer materials and manufacturing processes (compounding, compression/injection molding, post-curing, finishing) Solid understanding of tooling, processing, and manufacturing cost drivers Ability to read technical drawings; CAD/CAM experience is a plus Proven technical leadership and ability to coordinate cross-functional teams Analytical, structured, and solution-oriented mindset Strong communication skills with internal and external stakeholders Fluency in technical English (written and spoken) What We Offer
