High School Athletic Director - Glendale School District Location: Glendale, OR Closing Date: 01/12/2026 Salary Range: One time stipend of $7,414 (Based on the 2025-26 salary schedule. The 2026-27 schedule has not yet been negotiated.)

Job Summary Primary coordinator of student athletics for the district. Responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the district’s sports activities, maintaining an effective staff, and evaluating athletic programs in collaboration with administrators.

Responsibilities

Follow all rules and regulations of the regional middle school league, including preparing student lists, submitting schedules, and other required documents.

Follow all school rules and regulations and board policy.

Communicate and enforce supervision of all middle school athletes at all times.

Work with the principal to resolve discipline issues concerning athletes.

Enforce the athletic academic code, issuing grade checks for all athletes and following up with teachers/staff.

Serve as district liaison between division, local, and state athletic authorities.

Schedule all athletic facilities and fields for middle school games and practices following school procedure.

Respond to personnel issues, clarifying and implementing necessary actions.

Maintain an updated inventory of all athletic equipment and uniforms.

Order and maintain supplies, equipment, and uniforms in satisfactory condition.

Inspect athletic areas for cleanliness and proper storage of supplies.

Provide coaches with equipment, medical supplies, and uniforms; ensure proper return using a checklist.

Maintain and secure confidential records and inquiries appropriately.

Represent the school and district professionally to parents, community, staff, and students.

Maintain required certifications and training hours.

Assist as back‑up coach if needed.

Inspect facilities and fields for health and safety concerns.

Chaperone/supervise athletic events on campus as needed.

Supervise, evaluate, and direct coaching staff and athletic personnel per district policy.

Requirements

Minimum five years of leadership experience as a coach or educator.

Knowledge of OSAA rules and regulations, student conduct code, and district policies and procedures.

Certification as required by the district and OSAA.

Valid CPR/First Aid card and driver’s license.
