We are seeking a qualified and dependable American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreter to support students in a school-based setting in Fredericksburg, VA for the 2025–2026 school year.

Position Details

Location: Fredericksburg, VA

Schedule: Full‑Time, On‑Site

Employment Type: W‑2 with benefits

School Year: 2025–2026

Pay: $32‑36 per hour, based on experience

Certification: Must be a certified Sign Language Interpreter by January 2026

Qualifications

Certification requirements vary by state; in Virginia, there is no required state license, but national certification through the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf or an equivalent screening level (such as Virginia Quality Assurance Screening) is strongly preferred.

National certification through the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf is preferred.

Minimum of 1 year of prior experience preferred.

Commitment to ongoing continuing education and professional development.

Ability to accurately interpret spoken content, requiring strong attention to detail and retention.
