Job Overview
Machine Operator Lead – Refresco Beverages US, Inc. – Dunkirk, NY – Full‑time – Mid‑Senior level. The role is focused on ensuring the highest quality product is delivered efficiently and cost‑effectively on the production lines.
Key Responsibilities
Operate, monitor and troubleshoot all beverage production machinery to meet customer specifications.
Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) and all applicable food safety standards (e.g., SQF).
Maintain production schedule, report problems or changes to the Supervisor and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Perform end‑of‑shift duties, document production and quality records, and ensure a smooth shift transition.
Assist in training new employees and perform minor machine maintenance and preventive maintenance.
Required Skills & Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED; 3–5 years in a manufacturing or beverage production environment.
High‑speed beverage production experience and strong troubleshooting skills.
Forklift certification and ability to operate heavy equipment safely for up to 12 hours.
Excellent communication, teamwork and safety orientation; knowledge of safety regulations (e.g., WHMIS).
Ability to work quickly, accurately and under pressure; strong mechanical aptitude and math skills.

Problem‑solving and troubleshooting of machinery and production processes.
Continuous improvement mindset to enhance efficiency and product quality.
Documentation and record‑keeping of production data and quality measurements.
Safety and compliance awareness; enforcement of all safety protocols and PPE usage.
Effective verbal and written communication with team members and supervisors.
Working Conditions
Shift schedule includes weekdays, weekends, afternoons, evenings, overnight and holidays; overtime scheduled as needed.
Fast‑paced plant environment with high noise levels (hearing protection required) and temperature extremes.
Physical demands include standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs., climbing stairs/ladders, and operating forklifts for 12-hour periods.
Travel & Physical Requirements R = Rarely (0–15%)
O = Occasionally (16–45%)
F = Frequently (46–100%)
Standard standing and sitting; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as required.
Lifting 50 lbs. (minimum 5 lbs.)
Carry weight, lift and walking; driving.
Climb stairs/ladders or balance; visual and sensory attention to detail.
