Optical / Mechanical Assembler at Intelligent Manufacturing Solutions (IMS)
Base pay range: $22.00/hr - $27.00/hr
Job Summary
Assemble electronics according to product specifications.
Soldering under mgalight shielded cables.
Fine pitch capabilities or experience with wires to host.
Follow visual aids to assemble mechanical and electronic products.
Use hand and power tools and other assembly equipment.
Utilize quality practices and procedures to assure accurate assembly.
Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly area.
Responsible for quality and accuracy of own work.
Accountabilities / Scope
Interfaces: inter-company personnel.
People managed: none.
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Performs a variety of complicated tasks.
May lead and direct the work of others.
Impact of Error Direct impact on product quality.
Knowledge / Skills
Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
Experience with soldering equipment and wires to host.
Experience with clean room environment.
Excellent knowledge of IPC-610 workmanship requirements.
Understanding of ESD protocols.
Absolute attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to adapt to various tasks in a fast-paced environment.
A wide degree of creativity and latitude is required.
Education / Experience
High school diploma and/or GED or equivalent work experience.
Working knowledge of IPC.
Experience with optics preferred (e.g., assemblies that include lenses, etc).
At least 3 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
