Private Equity Fund Administration – Client Engagement Manager
Base pay: $100,000.00/yr - $145,000.00/yr.
This role sits within a specialized firm that delivers
fund administration and operational support
to
private investment managers , including buyout, venture capital, real estate, and multi‑strategy vehicles. The platform also partners with emerging sponsors to support
fund launches , while helping established managers
scale operations and reporting
across individual funds or full fund complexes.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary relationship manager for assigned client engagements
Maintain regular communication to stay informed on fund activity and evolving client needs
Balance client priorities, staff allocation, and overall engagement efficiency
Oversee fund accounting processes, including capital account maintenance and financial reporting
Coordinate and manage audit and tax workflows with external providers
Review and approve client and investor communications for accuracy and completeness
Support new client onboarding, proposal development, and broader business development initiatives
Provide coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback to junior team members
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required; coursework in accounting, finance, or economics strongly preferred
Experience with SBIC funds is required
Minimum 2 years' experience in public accounting or a comparable environment
At least 2 years of experience supporting private equity or venture capital funds, either in‑house or through a fund administrator, or prior experience at manager level within a public accounting firm
Working knowledge of partnership accounting within private investment structures preferred
CPA designation strongly preferred
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
Familiarity with general ledger or accounting platforms preferred
