The ideal candidate will produce parts by loading and positioning component(s) into the weld fixture and welding components together using methods/equipment defined in operator work instructions.
Responsibilities
GMAW (MIG) Welding on mild steel
Read shop drawings and accurately layout dimensions
Operate a cutting torch
Occasionally operate an ironworker; punching holes and shearing steel
Occasionally operate a band saw
Operate a forklift
Qualifications
The ability to read a tape measure and perform simple calculations
Willingness to work outside in all types of weather
Lift and move heavy objects, sometimes in excess of 50 pounds
Operate a forklift
The ability to layout dimensions on steel
Operate industrial machinery (welder, cutting torch, plasma table, band saw, ironworker, drill)
