Join our production team as a Mixing Operator and become a key player in creating our high-quality products. You'll be responsible for the entire mixing process, from setting up and operating the equipment to ensuring quality control and performing basic maintenance.

Strict adherence to all safety procedures for handling flammable solvents is essential.

Set up and operate coating machines for production schedules and job specifications.

Load and unload materials, ensuring proper feeding and alignment through the machine.

Must adhere to detailed written instructions for handling flammable solvents, resins, and solid chemicals. (Respirator required)

Monitor machine operation, adjusting settings for factors like speed, temperature, and coating thickness as needed.

Perform changeovers, including carts and Cylinder prep, roll changes, and material transfers (forklift, pallet jack, dolly).

Perform basic cleaning and preventive maintenance tasks on coating equipment.

Conduct quality control checks on coated materials, adhering to established standards and procedures.

Maintain accurate production parameters and complete necessary paperwork.

Maintain communication with other departments.

Other duties as required.

Skills and Abilities

Effective communication:

Collaborate clearly with operators, helpers, and team members to ensure smooth production flow.

Math skills:

Utilize basic math skills for tasks like interpreting production specifications

Quality control:

Possess a keen eye for detail and the ability to distinguish colors precisely to conduct thorough quality inspections.

Safety compliance:

Demonstrate a commitment to safety by adhering to respirator requirements as per OSHA standards.

Physical abilities:

Meet the physical demands of the role, including static pull strength of 84 lbs., push 60 lbs., lift 50 lbs.

Mobility:

Climb steps frequently and maintain sustained focus for an extended periods.

Technical skills:

Possess basic computer skills to operate production related software and maintain digital records.

Continuous improvement:

Maintain a process optimization mindset.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED.

Basic and intermediate math skills.

Forklift Certified.

Mixing Manufacturing experience preferred.

Familiarity with SAP/Microsoft Office.
