Dental Hygiene Assistant – Full Benefits & Growth
Full-time role at Cambridge Dental Group, a modern, fast‑paced general dentistry practice located in Dearborn Heights, Michigan.
Position Overview As a Hygiene Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the hygiene department by ensuring smooth patient flow, accurate clinical documentation, and a comfortable patient experience.
Key Responsibilities
Seat patients and prepare them for hygiene appointments
Review and update patient health histories
Take diagnostic dental x‑rays (must be proficient)
Assist hygienists chairside as needed
Turn over rooms and maintain a clean, organized clinical area
Follow infection control and safety protocols
Provide excellent patient care and communication
What We’re Looking For
Current dental assisting license – preferred
Active x‑ray certification – REQUIRED
Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Professional, reliable, and patient‑focused
Willingness to learn and grow within the practice

Open Dental
Digital x‑rays
iTero
Modern dental equipment and technology
Schedule (≈40 hours per week)
Monday & Wednesday: 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Tuesday & Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Saturdays: 2 Saturdays per month REQUIRED, 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Weekday off provided during the week when a Saturday is worked
