Primary Responsibilities

Proficiency reading wire schematics and diagrams

Perform bonding, resistance checks, and continuity checks

Locate correct wire routing on system installs

Independently perform AC/DC power checks

Complete proper wire installation with applicable drawing, including proper spacing, cable ties, lacing tape, bundle opening, connector removal and installation, and special cable care

Perform basic wiring termination (wire stripping, ring terminals, stud build up, connector pins/sockets, splices, shield ferrule/sleeve, standard coaxial connectors, shielded twisted pair splicing)

Utilize electrical and measuring tools (environmental crimpers, Daniels crimpers, AMP crimper, Burndy crimper, megohmmeter, multimeter, strippers, push‑pull scale, weighing scale, bond meters)

Know how to properly install fiber optics, coaxial cable, quadrax, etc.

Perform Air Data Testing with proper assistance

Perform scheduled maintenance tasks, defect rectification, modifications, repairs, and functional tests on Avionic and Electrical systems

Highlight any technical issues, discrepancies or other issues to the lead and manager

General Responsibilities

Complete required company and specific statement of work training requirements

Maintain necessary certifications, licenses and permits as required for assigned work

Perform detailed tool inventories daily

Communicate using basic computer systems including Microsoft Office as needed to complete essential job requirements

Contribute positively to our open and honest reporting culture

Report all incidents and occurrences in the Boeing Safety Management System

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, company processes and procedures

Maintain a high standard of organization and cleanliness within assigned work areas—“Clean as You Go”

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Be flexible to ensure aircraft are delivered on time to customer

Perform other duties as directed by management for the benefit of the company, program or employee(s)

Be an effective team member displaying appropriate behaviors including Equity, Diversity and Inclusion

Associate Level—Can perform the above tasks with little or general supervision

Experienced Level—Can perform the above tasks with no supervision and can assist others

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

3+ years of Aircraft Mechanic experience (commercial, defense, or relevant trade apprenticeship considered)

3+ years reading and understanding engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics and specifications

Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

FAA certification in Airframe and/or Power Plant desirable

Knowledge of general aircraft maintenance and environmental processes (Human Factors, FOD control, tool control, health & safety & COSHH)

Pay & Benefits Pay is based on candidate experience and qualifications, market and business considerations. Summary pay range:

Associate Level (GFD5IB) – $57,800 – $78,200

Experienced Level (GFD5IC) – $68,000 – $92,000
