Assistant Controller – Mobility Grade Level:

14

This role reports to the Chief Accounting Officer and is responsible for managing the company’s consolidation process and internal reporting, supporting SEC, statutory, regulatory, and internal reporting requirements. It also provides oversight for the Record to Report function, mentors a global team, and serves as a key point of contact for auditors and business units.

The role is based in Centreville, Virginia, with plans to relocate to Reston, Virginia, in 2026.

Responsibilities

Oversee the monthly financial close process ensuring ledgers are closed in a timely and accurate manner.

Own the month‑end close calendar and deliverables inventory.

Manage the consolidation process, reviewing analysis and record elimination journal entries.

Ensure consistent application of corporate accounting policies and internal controls.

Prepare and distribute financial reports for consolidated financial statements under U.S. GAAP.

Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors.

Liaise with tax team to understand transfer pricing and lead intercompany accounting.

Liaise with business units and global locations, partnering with corporate functions.

Support global and U.S. ad‑hoc projects requiring corporate and global accounting support.

Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes, improve efficiency, and enhance reporting quality.

Partner with technology finance teams to automate and transform reporting when possible.

Lead and mentor a global team, fostering professional development and collaboration.

Compensation / Benefits Applicants in the U.S. will be offered an anticipated base salary range of $137,000 to $270,000, depending on location, experience, and certifications. The position is eligible for an annual incentive plan and additional company benefits.

What We’re Looking For Basic Required Qualifications

CPA designation; master’s degree strongly preferred.

Minimum of 10 years of accounting experience.

Prior experience with preparation of financial statements and consolidation.

Deep technical expertise in U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and consolidation.

Exceptional communication skills, including presenting to senior executives and the Audit Committee.

Knowledge of Oracle and Alteryx is a plus.
