Senior Project Manager The Gordian Planning Services team is a group of dynamic, diverse, and hardworking individuals focused on delivering valuable data and insights to help our customers ensure their facilities are mission ready. As a trusted advisor, we provide facilities condition assessments, capital planning, asset management software, and consulting services to clients across higher education, K‑12, healthcare, government, corporate, and FM providers.

Location & Travel Remote – Central and West Region; United States; near a major airport. This position requires up to 40% travel, including client site meetings, assessment team support, and executive presentations to leadership.

Primary Responsibilities

Serve as the face of the company, delivering value, growing relationships, and building the client pool.

Lead multiple, concurrent planning services projects on a national and international level.

Proactively set the pace for a project, anticipating time requirements and potential obstacles.

Effectively plan and communicate project workflow and timing of key milestones through our account/project management software.

Ensure all areas of service and deliverables, as detailed in scope of work and contract terms, are met.

Ensure data integrity for all assigned accounts.

Create and maintain project files, including proposals, statements of work, change requests, client data, coordination documents, and deliverables.

Coordinate and plan travel for projects, assisting staff with travel arrangements as needed.

Overall responsibility for delivery of successful projects and services to clients.

Produce and deliver high‑quality, error‑free reports and presentations to the client.

Escalate operational obstacles or risks to the Regional Leader for support.

Contribute to the Success of the Team

Provide expert support to Analysts and Facility Assessment Staff.

Manage project team performance, client retention, revenue performance, and daily project execution.

Support backlog allocation when capacity is exceeded or available.

Coach team members on project management best practices and customer success.

Apply internal Fortive Business System tools to drive continuous improvement.

Communicate information and direction clearly to project teams in alignment with the Regional Leader.

Use feedback to improve team effectiveness.

Collaborate with Project Team Leaders, Sales Account Executives, Operations Managers, Analysts, Consultants, and others.

Foster an environment that values diverse perspectives.

Own personal development and seek support to achieve desired outcomes.

Support Business Development for New and Existing Clients

Serve as a subject‑matter expert for Planning Services solutions.

Lead and drive renewals in collaboration with the Renewals Team.

Identify and support cross‑sell and upsell opportunities of all Gordian solutions.

Develop long‑term relationship strategies with clients in collaboration with the Regional Leader or Sales rep.

Deliver thought leadership to the industry.

Participate in product improvement based on industry needs and customer feedback.

Develop strategies to close forecast‑to‑actual gaps by reallocating work and resources when possible.

Qualifications

Minimum of a 4‑year bachelor’s degree from a fully accredited institution or equivalent.

5+ years of project management experience in architecture, engineering, facilities management, operations management, construction management, or a related field.

Strong public speaking skills and experience developing presentation materials.

Excellent organizational and prioritization skills; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Sound decision‑making in a fast‑paced environment with a consultative approach to client relationships, escalation, and risk management.

Analytical skills to support Planning Services through KPI data tracking.

Experience identifying client or staffing issues and creating effective solutions, with knowledge of escalation thresholds.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

Professional demeanor, composure, and judgment when challenged; ability to build positive, collaborative relationships.

Physical Requirements Physical ability to walk through campus environments, conduct visual inspections, and occasionally climb ladders.

Compensation & Benefits Salary range: 65,100.00 – 120,900.00 (local currency). Eligible for bonus as part of total compensation. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life and LTD insurance, HSA, and a 401(k) retirement plan.
