Mechanical Design Engineer
Scotmas Group is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to play a crucial hands‑on role in the design and manufacture of high‑quality chlorine dioxide products and technologies for water treatment, hygiene and biosecurity.

Responsibilities
Utilise 2D/3D CAD software to design and create engineering solutions
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop new products
Ensure projects meet technical specifications and standards
Perform computer simulations and experiments to virtually test and refine the designs
Plan and execute mechanical designs using CAD, CAM, and 3D CAD programs
Oversee the development and manufacturing of physical prototypes for testing
Document the design process, iterations, and test analytics
Ensure material stock levels are correct for projects
Produce, update and store manufacturing drawings

Proficient in 2D/3D CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks)
Excellent communication skills
A passion for innovation and technology
Excellent attention to detail, verbal and written communication skills
Analytical and strong organisational skills
Conscientious & self‑motivated
Pro‑active, “can‑do” attitude
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or relevant experience
A minimum of 2 years of experience as a mechanical design engineer
Sound knowledge of design and engineering principles and best practices
Experience of design stock listing with MRP systems
