About the role Lead our culinary program to delight residents and nourish body and soul.
Your leadership behind the scenes creates dining experiences residents and families look forward to every day.
What you’ll do
Plan, produce, and present high-quality, resident-centered meals
Develop menus that meet nutritional needs and diverse preferences
Lead, train, and schedule kitchen team members; model table service standards
Manage purchasing, inventory, and cost controls; coordinate equipment maintenance
Ensure food safety, sanitation, and infection control compliance (ServeSafe)
Engage with residents to gather feedback and host culinary experiences
Collaborate with leaders and care team on special diets and events
Skills & attributes
Culinary excellence with creativity and innovation
Strong safety and sanitation habits; calm under pressure
Skilled in varied cooking techniques; eager to teach and mentor
Professional table service etiquette and presentation
Business acumen in labor, purchasing, and cost management
Team builder with customer service focus and adaptability
Interest in learning how to support residents living with dementia
Relatable experience
Leadership in culinary operations or program oversight
Hospitality/hotel or healthcare food service leadership
Service to seniors or vulnerable populations
Internships, special programs, or roles that honed culinary leadership
Qualifications
At least 21 years of age
Combination of education and experience supporting Executive Chef status
ServeSafe certified or able to obtain within 60 days of hire
Current negative TB test
Knowledge of (or willingness to quickly learn) applicable kitchen regulatory standards
Ability to pass a criminal background check
Strong time management; able to work independently with minimal oversight
