POSITION SUMMARY Cherokee Town & Country Club in Atlanta, GA is seeking to hire a full-time
Sous Chef
who can lead by example, create an environment where teamwork and innovation flourish, ensure high-quality food execution and provide an authentic, handcrafted dining experience for our loyal members.
The schedule is

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A SOUS CHEF As a
Sous Chef
in the kitchen of Cherokee Town and Country Club, you are the heart of our restaurant. You are passionate about good food and exceeding our members' expectations. This role requires a leader who values fresh ingredients, embraces innovative cooking techniques, and inspires a team to deliver exceptional cuisine.
You are responsible for execution of food items to ensure members are satisfied.
Consult with the Executive Chef or Chef De Cuisine concerning the daily menu and parties.
You are responsible that all culinarians are briefed daily to assure maximum efficiency.
Responsible for food production kept within the set quality standards.
Cook food that requires skillful preparation such as roasts, stews, sauces and soups.
Taste all cooked food, either portions of cooked food, or give instructions as to the size of portions and methods of garnishing; carve meats. Cuts, trims, bones, lards, or otherwise prepare meats and poultry for cooking, making individual cuts of meat to a specified size or weight, utilizing every portion of the carcass.
You will assist with the Executive Chef and / or Area Chef in any way as directed.
Must maintain safety and security in the workstation.
QUALIFICATIONS
Servsafe certification required.
At least 2 years prior restaurant experience required.
A culinary degree or ACF equivalent is preferred.
Must be able to stand long durations.
Able to understand and communicate in English.
Must be able to communicate effectively with team members and managers.
Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
