Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations of the Camp Liberty Equestrian Center, ensuring exceptional care for horses and facilities.
Design, implement, and evaluate year‑round programming for Girl Scouts K–12, with a focus on the summer camp equestrian program (June–August).
Cultivate community partnerships to enhance funding and volunteer engagement, delivering high‑quality, hands‑on experiences that embody the Girl Scout mission.
Utilize leadership and management skills to develop confidence, character, and courage among young participants.
Qualifications
At least 21 years old and certified as an equestrian instructor from a nationally recognized organization.
Management or supervisory experience at a horseback riding facility for at least six weeks.
Current certifications in Standard First Aid, CPR, and AED.
Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and ability to operate a 12‑passenger van.
Physical endurance: ability to walk long distances, stand for extended periods, lift and carry at least 50 lbs, ride horses weekly, and tolerate various weather conditions (maximum weight capacity 250 lbs).
Experience leading and working with children and teenagers.
Strong belief in the Girl Scouts mission and ability to register as a Girl Scout member.
Salary: $40,000 – $43,000 per year.
