The newly renovated Hilton San Diego Bayfront is searching for an energetic Cook II to join their team. Located along the San Diego Bay, this beautiful property boasts 1190 guest rooms, 170,000 square feet of event space, and 8 food and beverage outlets. Bring your culinary knowledge to this dynamic hotel and team.
Ideal candidate
Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays.
Must have at least one year of professional experience as a cook.
Previous hotel food and beverage experience is preferred.
At least one year of banquet experience is a plus.
Wage for the role is $28.70 per hour.
What will I be doing? As a Cook II, you would be responsible for preparing cold food items in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically:
Prepare cold food items including salads, fruits, dressings, fish items, and appetizers according to designated recipes and quality standards.
Maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation standards at all times.
Manage guest orders in a friendly, timely, and efficient manner.
Ensure knowledge of menu and food products.
Stock and maintain designated food stations.
Visually inspect all food sent from the kitchen.
Practice correct food handling and food storage procedures according to federal, state, local, and company regulations.
