Buckeye Power Sales is a Growth-Oriented Company Seeking an Industrial Generator Sales Representative to join our Power Systems Division!
Buckeye Power Sales has been providing on site power solutions for businesses, contractors, engineers, municipalities and homeowners since 1947, making us the oldest Rehlko (formerly Kohle) generator distributor in the country. We also distribute Siemens Energy engines and generators for a wide range of applications such as combined heat and power, waste to power, prime and continuous. From power generation to light construction to grounds care – we have the machines, equipment, parts, programs and service to help you get the job done.

Responsibilities
Perform sales calls in person, over the phone, and via e‑mail
Develop a database of qualified leads through referrals, telephone canvassing, face‑to‑face cold calling, direct mail and networking
Manage selling activities to optimize and sustain sales performance, profitability, and customer satisfaction
Work with customers to resolve problems and provide solutions
Continuously learn about competitor activity, pricing and tactics and communicate this to relevant company staff
Use CRM to follow up on quotes and promote the benefits of BPS/Rehlko
Coordinate with Sales Support & Service Team on sale, delivery and start‑up of generators
Provide ideas to the Marketing and Sales Manager to help grow the product line
Attend sales seminars, meetings or educational activities to stay up to date on the latest developments, trends, regulations and products in the marketplace
Achieve business and organizational goals, vision and objectives

Requirements
Conforms with the core values of BPS
High School diploma or equivalent (Engineering degree preferred)
18+ years of age
Minimum 2 years experience with Power Generation
Minimum 2–5 years experience in sales preferred
Able to read, analyze and interpret engineering specifications, documents and regulations
Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain insurability through company insurer
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in English
Ability to write reports and business correspondence
Ability to travel within established Territory
Excellent customer service, listening and problem‑solving skills
Above average math skills; able to calculate discounts, gross profit, percentages
Strong presentation and influence skills
Excellent negotiation skills
Capacity to preserve confidential material
Good organizational skills and ability to multi‑task
Computer skills including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); data entry
Professional appearance and positive representation of the company at all times
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends
Must pass background check and periodic drug screens & license checks
Salary is based on skills and experience
Military Friendly, DFWP, EOE
Salary listed is base salary. This role is eligible for commission.
Salary range: 50,000 – 60,000 USD per year (Ohio)
