Base Pay Range $19.00/hr - $35.00/hr
Position Summary Join our dynamic team as a General Facilities Maintenance Technician to execute routine maintenance tasks that uphold the safety, functionality, and aesthetics of Walmart stores, equipment, and fixtures. You will work under the supervision of the local General Maintenance Manager, adhere to maintenance schedules, conduct inspections, cleaning, and repairs, and support a fast‑paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using multiple craft skills (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment) and tools.
Utilize the work‑order management system to receive reactive repair Work Orders, support Stores and Store associates, and document repair activities.
Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
Minimum Qualifications
18 years or older.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Can lift up to 50 lbs. at a time.
Can move up and down ladders frequently.
Comfortable working at heights frequently.
Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.
Able to work in various temperatures.
Hold a valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report.
Vocational or Technical certification and 1 year experience, or 2 years total work experience, in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade.
Vocational or Technical certification and 3 years experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade, or 5 years experience in the same fields.
Valid Driver's License.
Eligible for a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
Preferred Qualifications
Completion of a 2‑year Vocational or Technical trade program.
License in related trade in the city and/or state where the job is located.
Intermediate‑level proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
