Building Maintenance Mechanic Salary: $17 - $22 per hour Location: West Virginia Veterans Home, Barboursville, WV Schedule
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM Key Responsibilities
Repair and maintain walls, ceilings, floors, steps, doors, frames, and plaster. Perform painting tasks as required. Install, repair, or replace lighting fixtures and ceiling tiles. Maintain plumbing systems, including repair and replacement of fixtures and components. Conduct inspections, routine maintenance, and repairs on necessary equipment. Furniture assembly, movement, and the loading/unloading of supplies. Complete masonry projects. Maintain exterior grounds, including grass cutting, snow removal, and general landscaping. Remove trash and ensure cleanliness throughout the property. Transport residents to medical appointments, as needed. Collaborate effectively with team members and other staff to meet operational goals. Perform other duties as assigned to support the facility’s ongoing needs. Qualifications
Experience: Two years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in building maintenance or as a helper in a building trade. Benefits
