Role Overview The Legal Assistant supports the Legal and Operational teams during daily operations, including scanning, printing, compiling, sorting and organizing documents for attorney review. The role assists with mail and ad‑hoc requests and requires proficiency in Microsoft Office and the company’s in‑house legal software system.
Responsibilities
Noting accounts
Preparing legal documents
Managing e‑mail inboxes
Assisting with calendar management
Miscellaneous clerical duties
Requirements
1–3 years in a high‑volume administrative or legal specialist position
Intermediate knowledge of MS Office Suite programs, particularly Excel and Outlook
Ability to quickly learn new systems and adapt to process changes
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Detail‑oriented, organized, able to work with high volume and takes initiative
Ability to work with people across all levels and areas of expertise
Experience in a creditor’s law firm and knowledge of legal pleadings is a plus
Positive attitude and professional team‑player spirit
Education Required: High School Diploma; some college preferred.
Language Required: English.
Experience Required: 1–2 years of customer service or clerical experience, experience with MS Office, good communication skills and data entry. Preferred: 2+ years in financial services, system querying skills, proficiency with MS Office (particularly Excel).
