Coating Assistant Operator (full‑time) – Matthews, NC. The role assists the Coating Operator with the safe and efficient operation of coating equipment to meet customer delivery targets at specified quality levels.

Responsibilities
Follow all Safety Rules and Regulations
Recognize and respond to potential safety hazards and safeguards such as machine guarding, light curtains, pinch points, LOTO, SDS, grounding, e‑stops, fire alarms, and site evacuations
Comply with all TC Policies
Lift up to 50 lbs. multiple times during a shift
Learn and understand online support equipment such as HMI’s (SCADA and Wonder Ware), camera systems, thickness gauges, UV lights, viscometers, corona treaters, web cleaners, edge guides
Understand the TPM System (Preventive Maintenance)
Understand FIFO, material usage and charging
Learn and perform Make‑Ready tasks, proper die setups, pump setups, hose making, assemble feed systems and parts cleaning
Maintain proficiency in tasks referenced in the employee training record for this position
Set up, start up and run machine as required
Perform basic troubleshooting skills as required
Apply applicable quality system procedures and reference quality system documentation as appropriate
Coordinate material handling in support of production
Participate in the resolution and communication of quality issues
Follow all safety practices and maintain housekeeping standards
Work in a team environment
Be willing to work any/all shifts
Assist with accurate accounting of time and materials
Participate in teams and applicable training opportunities
Comply with all safety policies
Other duties as assigned
State that powered industrial vehicle training and certification will be required if needed. Qualifications
Ability to read and write.
Basic math using a calculator.
Use a computer to retrieve emails and other electronic information.
Recognize a tape measure.
Follow instructions.
Good organizational and housekeeping skills.
Good physical shape for motor controls.
Good hand/eye coordination.
Self‑motivator: ability work with limited supervision.
