Part‑Time Legal Assistant / Intake Coordinator (Criminal Defense)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 12:00 PM
Location: Hybrid (first 3 months in‑office for training)
We are a boutique criminal defense law firm seeking a reliable, personable, and highly organized Part‑Time Legal Assistant / Intake Coordinator to be the first point of contact for our firm. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, enjoys speaking with people, and can remain calm, compassionate, and confident, especially during difficult or emotional conversations.
Key Responsibilities
Answer and manage incoming phone calls professionally and empathetically
Serve as the first point of contact for potential and existing clients
Follow up on assigned tasks and deadlines
Assist with basic paperwork and administrative support
Maintain accurate records and communicate messages clearly to the legal team
Help defuse tense or emotional situations with professionalism and care
What We’re Looking For
Excellent phone presence and communication skills
Naturally charismatic, warm, and confident demeanor
Strong multitasking and organizational abilities
Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
Comfortable handling sensitive and confidential information
Reliable, punctual, and detail‑oriented
Prior legal or criminal defense experience is a plus, but not required
Work Structure
Part‑time hours: 8:30 AM – 12:00 PM, Monday through Friday
Hybrid position, with the first three months in‑office for training
