Wireless Network Operations Center Lead with Security Clearance
Join Akima Infrastructure Services in Orlando, FL as a Wireless Network Operations Center Lead. Analyze, administer, and support LAN/WAN networks and provide technical guidance to clients and vendors.
Responsibilities
Research, test, evaluate, and recommend telecommunications and data network systems.
Analyze workload, traffic, and utilization trends.
Interface with users, consultants, technical teams, and vendors to determine appropriate hardware installation.
Support complex PCs and LAN/WAN networks throughout the organization.
Test and evaluate hardware and software for efficiency, reliability, and compatibility.
Analyze test data and recommend hardware or software purchases.
Perform work under minimal supervision; handle complex issues independently.
Coordinate scheduling for the WNOC group supporting Cellular Over the Horizon Enforcement Network (COTHEN) and Land Mobile Radio (LMR).
Serve as lead point of contact (POC) for government and customers seeking technical assistance.
Coordinate training for new contract staff and provide documentation for daily, weekly, and monthly reports from the ticketing system and databases.
Qualifications
Must be able to obtain a CBP Background Investigation/clearance; certain billets may require DoD Secret or Top‑Secret access.
Relevant certifications such as ITIL v3, CompTIA, CCNA.
Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Networking, or Telecommunications.
Minimum five (5) years of Tier 1 support operations experience.
Strong understanding of network fundamentals: TCP/IP, routing protocols, topology, troubleshooting.
Hands‑on experience with network monitoring tools and ticketing systems.
Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills.
Effective communication skills for interacting with customers, technical teams, and management.
