Quality Inspector (CMM and Calypso Experience)

Pay:
$25–$28+ per hour (DOE)

Schedule:
8–10 hour shift, Monday to Friday
What You’ll Do
Perform first article, in‑process, and final inspections on machined components
Use inspection tools including micrometers, calipers, height gauges, bore gauges, indicators, and optical comparators
Read and interpret complex engineering drawings with tight tolerances and GD&T
Document inspection results clearly and accurately
Collaborate with machinists and programmers to support quality and efficiency
Maintain control of inspection tools and gauge calibration status
Assist with the generation of FAIRs and inspection reports as needed
What You Need to Have
4+ years of experience in precision inspection in a CNC or machine shop
Strong knowledge of dimensional inspection techniques and GD&T
Proficiency with hand tools and comparators
Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills
Self‑motivated and able to work independently
Musts
Reliable and professional
Strong communication and organizational skills
Committed to quality and continuous improvement
Preferred
Basic programming and operation of CMMs (ZEISS Calypso or similar)
Experience with AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports
Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO 9001 quality systems
Background in aerospace or defense machining environments
