Responsibilities
Become part of the Business Development team and take responsibility for the Defense sector with our clients and prospects, ensuring top‑tier sales and support.
Report to the VP Sales and contribute to defining the strategic EMEA business plan for your clients and market segments. Your approach will be technical, commercial, and strategic.
Support aerospace and defense manufacturers in sourcing certified electrical components.
Connect clients’ operational needs (OEMs, integrators, MRO, ministries) with the most reliable technical solutions, ensuring compliance, traceability, and responsiveness.
Work closely with international manufacturers, design offices, and public buyers to secure contracts in sensitive environments subject to strict standards (MIL‑STD, DO‑160, EN9100, ITAR).
Identify, develop, and manage strategic partnerships with clients, partners, and suppliers as the focal point for your business area.
Attend industry trade shows to generate new leads and build and maintain a productive network with existing and potential customers.
Analyze, develop, and manage supplier tender processes, including sourcing, execution, and follow‑up in collaboration with product management and sales.
Secure long‑term business opportunities by identifying potential contracts aligned with the company’s global strategy.
Prepare client reports, opportunity reports, and maintain a balanced pipeline of business opportunities for your market.
Conduct market studies, compile data, and prepare reports for sales and site management.
Monitor and analyze historical, current, and forecast data to identify potential risks and opportunities.
Key Skills
B2B sales of aerospace electrical components (connectors, wiring, relays, sensors…)
Business development in defense sectors
Prospecting and client retention in defense
Negotiating distribution contracts with certified manufacturers
Delivery follow‑up, obsolescence management, and document compliance
Participation in specialized trade shows: Eurosatory, Paris Air Show, DSEI
Distribution management: sourcing, logistics, regulatory compliance
Responding to public tenders and government contracts
Key account management
Design‑in expertise to ensure strategic implementation of solutions and products
Profile
Master’s degree or equivalent in Engineering or Business with a specialization in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace, or Commerce.
Minimum 7 years of experience in the Defense sector – Mandatory.
Recognized for your rigor, interpersonal and writing skills, and ability to propose solutions.
Fluent in English, both written and spoken, as it will be your main working language (TOEIC 850+ – Technical aerospace English – export/NATO environment).
Excellent knowledge of standards: MIL‑STD, DO‑160, EN9100, ITAR, REACH and certifications EN9100 / ISO 9001, ITAR / Export Control, REACH / RoHS.
