Job Summary Exhibit a strong, self‑motivated work ethic.
Possess the effectiveness to lead and supervise the daily performance of engineering staff.
Perform preventive maintenance and urgent, corrective and routine repairs in electrical and plumbing systems.
Assist Operations Manager in matters of performance reviews and discipline.
Supervisor shall assist the Operations Manager in maintaining an effective organization, administering monetary controls, safety and effective management, planning, training, and personnel in their general and specific duties.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate's Degree in the field of engineering, business, science, or skilled trade preferred
High School or GED
License: Journeyman License or equivalent; certification preferred
Texas Driver's License preferred
Four years hospital or related work experience required.
Familiar with hospital operations, experience with regulatory requirements such as DNV, TDSHS, and Joint Commission preferred.
Two years supervisory level experience in plant operations or maintenance.
Communication skills: Above average verbal (heavy public contact), exceptional verbal (public speaking), writing/correspondence, writing/reports
Proficiencies: MS Excel, MS Word, PC, typing
Knowledge/skills/abilities: Analytical, mathematics, CMMS access
Work schedule: flexible, travel
Equipment operated: Valid Texas driver’s license preferred; HVAC, electrical, stationary engineering, or other mechanical certification; Underground Storage Tanks (UST), class A/B operator training completed
