Job Description:

This role brings a QA mindset to the team, working directly with QA managers across all domains to manage and oversee testing engagements and support all aspects of the testing lifecycle. The Test Lead works closely with QA managers to track initiatives, assign resources from offshore and onshore teams, and collaborates with development and business partners to determine optimal test coverage, ensuring high‑quality, defect‑free software delivery. The Test Lead is a subject‑matter expert for business and technical components, reviewing testing artifacts and activities to ensure adherence to existing testing standards.

Required Qualifications

At least 5+ years of experience with back‑end systems/ETL automation/Hadoop testing, Kafka KStream/API automation testing.

Strong experience building test plans and test scripts using tools such as Octane, ALM, or qTest.

Strong knowledge of SQL and Python scripting.

Strong knowledge of API testing.

Ability to lead test planning for complex features that span multiple teams.

Experience creating and optimizing test processes, including defect management and reporting.

Experience developing test automation frameworks using UFT, TOSCA, Selenium, or SOA Test.

Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as JIRA, Bitbucket, GIT, Jenkins, and Ansible.

Experience in Agile processes.

Responsibilities

Participate in triaging reported issues/defects for automated solutions and assist with resolving or escalating them as necessary.

Manage test execution and assist with resolving, communicating or escalating any issues that may result in test plan variance.

Contribute to test data management approach, processes and tools.

Coordinate conditioning and generation of test data, ensuring data compliance requirements are met on all levels of test environments.

Assist in identifying and managing sensitive test data.

Create and manage traceability, tracing tests forwards/backwards through the development lifecycle and back to requirements.

Ensure alignment and sign‑off for test cases from business and other stakeholders.

Optimize test suites employing techniques such as risk‑based testing.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Web Services testing, REST APIs, and 1H testing.

Prior experience implementing automation frameworks using UFT, Selenium, TOSCA, or SOA Test.

Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as JIRA, Bitbucket, GIT, Jenkins, and Ansible.
