As a Subcontracts Management Specialist III, you will develop subcontract specifications, work statements, and terms and conditions for the procurement of specialized materials, equipment, and services for our subcontract systems to guide the development, production, and global sustainment for multiple contract types. You will be responsible for preparing our bid packages, developing evaluation criteria, analyzing and evaluating our proposals, negotiating subcontract provisions, selecting or recommending new subcontractors, and administering our subcontracts. Additionally, you will administer standard subcontract agreements (Firm Fixed Price, Time and Material, Cost Reimbursable, Fixed‑Fee) through the entire contract lifecycle, lead moderate negotiations of terms, price, and schedule, and monitor subcontractor performance.
Responsibilities
Develop subcontract specifications, work statements, and terms and conditions for procurement of specialized materials, equipment, and services.
Prepare bid packages and develop evaluation criteria.
Analyze and evaluate proposals.
Negotiate subcontract provisions, select or recommend new subcontractors, and administer subcontracts.
Administer standard subcontract agreements (FFP, T&M, CR, Fixed‑Fee) through the entire contract lifecycle.
Lead moderate negotiations of terms, price, and schedule, and monitor subcontractor performance.
Qualifications You Must Have
Bachelor's Degree in a related field and typically 6 or more years of relevant experience
Higher education may substitute for relevant experience.
Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry.
The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required.
Preferred Qualifications
The ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance may be required.
Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) compliance.
Experience working in CostPoint or other ERP systems.
Proficiency in oral and written communications.
Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
Relevant certifications (CPIM, CSSP, CPM, etc.).
Detailed Price Analysis Experience.
