Responsibilities

Leads and directs a team of specialists responsible for providing expert guidance and support to the Enterprise Business Cycle Owner (EBCO) in coordinating audit readiness, process management, and organizational assessments within DLA Information Operations.

Establishes annual team audit and testing plans, goals, objectives and performance metrics aligned with DLA strategic objectives, audit requirements, and best practices, monitoring progress and implementing corrective actions as needed.

Provides oversight and strategic direction for the development and implementation of policies and procedures to sustain a robust IT audit readiness posture, ensuring effective designation and operation of general and application controls.

Ensures the team maintains a comprehensive understanding of audit readiness and controls processes of the IT Life cycle/Business cycle.

Serves as a strategic consultant to senior leadership, providing expert advice and recommendations on audit readiness and process optimization strategies.

Requirements

Must be a U.S. citizen.

Tour of Duty: Set Schedule.

Security Requirements: Non-Critical Sensitive.

Appointment is subject to the completion of a favorable suitability or fitness determination; unfavorable adjudicated background checks may result in removal.

This position and any future selections from this announcement may be used to fill various shifts located within DLA Information Operations (J6) locations.

Qualifications

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience directly related to this position. For GS‑14 level, equivalent to GS‑13 or other pay system component; must meet time‑in‑grade and other regulatory requirements as of the closing date.

Prepares and presents high‑level briefings and reports to senior leadership on audit readiness status, process improvement initiatives, and organizational assessment results.

Identifies and champions innovative solutions to improve audit readiness posture, reduce risks, and enhance operational efficiency.

Provides strategic direction and oversight for the team’s role as lead facilitators in continuous process improvement projects or events, ensuring effective management of overall CPI capability.
