Job Title: Data Management Consultant (Contingent Resource) Location: Minneapolis, MN Employment Type: Contingent Resource About the Role We are seeking an experienced Data Management Consultant to provide strategic oversight and governance of critical data assets. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams-including data product, technology, and business partners-to establish and maintain standards, policies, and best practices for data flow, frameworks, access, documentation, quality, and remediation. This position is specific to contingent resources. What You'll Do

• Act as a subject matter expert to influence and develop initiatives addressing highly complex business and technical needs in Data Management.
• Consult on strategies and resolve unique challenges requiring deep evaluation across multiple domains.
• Deliver long-term, large-scale solutions that demand vision, creativity, innovation, and advanced analytical thinking.
• Provide thought leadership and guidance to senior executives on innovative Data Management solutions.
• Engage strategically with internal stakeholders to align data governance with organizational objectives.

MUST HAVE

• GCP Experience
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform
• Well versed with writing SQL queries(simple to complex) in GCP BigQuery
• Understanding of GCP architecture and nomenclature
• Migration Experience
• Direct involvement in migrating legacy data to cloud platforms (GCP/AWS/Azure)
• Ability to share practical migration experiences
• Validation Experience
• Hands-on experience with validation processes during migration to cloud platforms
• Business Data Analyst Skills
• Strong SQL skills (from simple to complex queries)
• Understanding of data processes and data architecture
• Self-Leadership and Work Direction
• Ability to work independently with minimal handholding
• Comfortable managing priorities and delivering in a fast-paced environment

Minimum Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas: Data Management, Business Analysis, Analytics, or Project Management.
• Equivalent experience may include a combination of work history, consulting engagements, training, military service, or education.

Preferred Skills

• Strong ability to navigate complex organizational structures and influence decision-making.
• Expertise in data governance frameworks, quality assurance, and remediation strategies.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on innovation.
