About the Job Data Analyst Summary: The Data Analyst plays a critical role in supporting financial planning, budgeting, and reporting processes by ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and automation of financial data across the organization. This position is responsible for maintaining financial datasets, preparing analytical reports, enhancing operational efficiency through automation, and partnering with cross-functional teams to support data-driven decision-making. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain budgets, forecasts, and cash flow reports across multiple business entities.
- Produce monthly and quarterly consolidated P&L, Cash Flow, and Balance Sheet reports.
- Create and maintain interactive dashboards and executive reports using Tableau and Excel.
- Support board and management presentations with clear, accurate financial summaries.
- Analyze sales, margin, and expense trends to identify risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g., Merchandising, Operations) to interpret data and resolve business issues.
- Assist in preparing capital expenditure analyses and supporting documentation for leadership approval.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of actual and forecast data by helping maintain financial controls and systems.
- Contribute to ongoing process improvements by understanding business workflows across the company.
- Assist with adoption of new ERP and reporting systems to enhance financial efficiency.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- A bachelor's degree in Business Management, Finance, Accounting or a related field is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
- 2+ years of financial analysis experience, preferably in retail, wholesale or logistic industry.
- Adaptable and willing to work flexible schedules to meet operational needs.
- Proficiency in Tableau or other data visualization tools is required.
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with data warehousing or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite) strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills with the ability to simplify complex data.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
- Demonstrated ethical judgment, professionalism, and discretion when handling sensitive information.
- Eagerness to learn, adapt, and grow in a dynamic business environment.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
