About the Job Senior Data Analyst Summary: The Senior Data Analyst plays a strategic role in driving financial insights, optimizing data processes, and enhancing analytical capabilities across the organization. This position leads budgeting and forecasting data workflows, delivers comprehensive financial and operational reporting, and ensures high standards of data quality, automation, and governance across multiple systems. The Senior Data Analyst is expected to demonstrate strong analytical thinking, advanced technical proficiency, and the ability to translate complex datasets into clear, actionable recommendations that support strategic decision-making in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:
- Prepare, manage, and review budgets, forecasts, and cash flow reports for all business entities.
- Develop and present monthly and quarterly consolidated P&L, Cash Flow, and Balance Sheet reports for senior leadership.
- Create supporting documentation and perform capital expenditure (CapEx) analyses for executive approval.
- Generate recurring sales, financial, and operational performance reports, highlighting key insights and trends.
- Analyze sales, margin, pricing, and expense trends to identify patterns, risks, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Collaborate with operations leaders to interpret business trends, market dynamics, and customer behavior across the value chain.
- Implement and maintain robust data systems, controls, and validation processes to ensure the accuracy and integrity of actuals and forecast data.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to produce actionable reports and address business challenges.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and financial regulations across all reporting and analytics.
- Support strategic initiatives through advanced financial modeling, scenario analysis, and insight-driven recommendations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- A bachelor's degree in Business Management, Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
- 5+ years of financial analysis experience, preferably in retail, wholesale or logistic industry.
- Adaptable and willing to work flexible schedules to meet operational needs.
- Skilled in analyzing complex data, summarizing key insights, and refining information for clarity and actionable outcomes
- Familiar with SQL, Python, data warehousing, and advanced expertise in Microsoft Office tools including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
- Demonstrated ethical judgment, professionalism, and discretion when handling sensitive information.
- Eagerness to learn, adapt, and grow in a dynamic business environment.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
