About Us
We serve modern Korean-tapas and shared plates, signature cocktails, and thoughtfully designed experiences. We are a hospitality-obsessed restaurant where service, atmosphere, and culture carry equal weight. Our team is small, tight-knit, and growing — and we’re looking for a hands-on Assistant Manager ready to help us scale.

Role Overview

The Assistant Manager is the heartbeat of daily operations — leading floor service, ensuring smooth front-of-house (FOH) execution, maintaining standards, and coaching the team. This role is ideal for someone excited by ownership mindset, fast-paced environments, problem-solving, and hospitality culture-building.

You will work directly with ownership to elevate the guest experience, manage FOH staff, support training, and maintain systems that ensure consistency and excellence.

Service Leadership & Floor Execution

  • Lead pre-shift meetings, assign sections, and conduct service-readiness walkthroughs
  • Maintain pacing, table touches, guest recovery, and overall flow of service
  • Ensure cleanliness, atmosphere, and FOH standards (lighting, music, table setup, etc.)
  • Handle guest escalations with professionalism and empathy

Team Management

  • Coach FOH staff on etiquette, standards, menu knowledge, cocktail scripts, sales techniques
  • Interviewing, onboarding, weekly schedules, and performance feedback
  • Reinforce accountability, time entry management, and staff communication

Operational Support

  • Oversee opening/closing checklists and nightly manager logs
  • Toast POS troubleshooting, comps/voids, cash-out review
  • Manage reservations flow, VIP notes, private-event coordination
  • Assist in inventory counts, ordering, vendor communication (beverages, disposables, linens, etc.)
  • Support DOHMH readiness, training requirements, temperature logs, safety & compliance

Culture & Brand

  • Bring positivity, professionalism, and high standards
  • Model restaurant’s unique service style — energetic, confident, friendly, non-stuffy
  • Support events, promotions, and social-media-relevant guest moments

Qualifications

  • 1 to 2+ years FOH leadership in NYC restaurants (shift lead, key holder, supervisor, or assistant manager preferred)
  • Experience with Toast POS, Resy, or comparable systems
  • Strong communication, emotional intelligence, and conflict-resolution skills
  • Comfort working in a hands-on, owner-operator environment
  • Ability to thrive in a busy, small-team setting
  • Must be able to work evenings, weekends, & holidays as needed

Compensation

  • Full-time salaried: $55K - $62K

Why Join

  • Small-team environment with real influence on decisions, brand, marketing, and staff
  • Ownership exposure — learn menu development, events, operations, and P&L inputs
  • A culture where excellence and care for people are equally valued
