IT Support Technician – Cox Manufacturing Company, Inc.
We’re looking for an
IT Support Technician
to join our onsite IT team in San Antonio, Texas. The ideal candidate will have strong technical troubleshooting skills, excellent customer service abilities, and the physical capability to support onsite equipment needs. This role is essential in ensuring smooth day‑to‑day IT operations across the organization.
Compensation Base pay range: $22.00/hr - $22.00/hr. Your pay will be based on your skills and experience.
Responsibilities
Provide phone, email, and in‑person technical support for end users.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windows‑based PCs, printers, and peripherals.
Perform hardware setup, imaging, deployment, and configuration of desktops and laptops.
Assist with installation and support of software applications and updates.
Document support requests, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions in the ticketing system.
Escalate issues to higher‑level IT staff when necessary.
Maintain and inventory IT equipment, cables, and related hardware.
Support end users with network connectivity and account access issues.
Ensure compliance with IT policies, security practices, and data integrity.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in IT or related field preferred.
At least 1 year of helpdesk or IT support experience.
Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and common applications (Microsoft 365, browsers, etc.).
Ability to provide clear, courteous, and effective phone‑based technical support.
Relevant IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST), or equivalent.
Ability to lift and move up to 40 lbs (e.g., computers, monitors, and other equipment).
Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
Excellent problem‑solving abilities with a customer‑first mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Active Directory user management.
Familiarity with remote support tools and ticketing systems.
Knowledge of networking basics (TCP/IP, Wi‑Fi, VPN).
Schedule Full‑time, onsite, Monday–Friday with occasional after‑hours support as needed.
