Provide specialized nursing care in a dynamic Level IV/Surgical NICU setting, supporting critically ill neonates with complex conditions. This opportunity emphasizes advanced clinical skills in a high-acuity environment, centered on collaborative care and professional growth. Location This role is based in Marietta, GA, a vibrant city known for its rich history, cultural attractions, and proximity to metropolitan amenities. The community offers a welcoming atmosphere with diverse dining, outdoor activities, and convenient access to healthcare resources. Key Responsibilities Deliver expert nursing care to neonates with conditions such as congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH), meconium aspiration syndrome (MAS), necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC), tracheoesophageal fistula/esophageal atresia (TEF/EA), abdominal wall defects, bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD), and pulmonary hypertension. Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams across two campuses, including frequent floating between NICU departments to optimize patient care. Participate in weekend shifts exclusively on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, working 7 PM to 7 AM to maintain continuity of care during critical hours. Adhere to facility policies including mandatory nicotine testing and influenza vaccination requirements for staff health and safety. Support holiday staffing needs by working on or around Christmas Day as scheduled. Qualifications and Experience Registered Nurse licensure with a minimum of 2 years experience in NICU nursing. Demonstrated experience in Level IV or surgical NICU environments is essential. Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required; Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification preferred. Willingness to adapt to varied clinical settings and shifts as staffing demands dictate. Schedule and Job Type Contract position with weekend shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM (Friday through Sunday). Orientation scheduled for mid-December with subsequent opportunities in January.
